We invite you as residents and ratepayers to join this association for the following aims and objectives- a) To reduce the annual rate increases. b) Provide clear transparency re: council matters. c) Support you the ratepayer/resident in any particular problem you may be experiencing. d) Northern Harbour recreational and environmental concerns WBOP District Council has the highest average rates in New Zealand. EvenTauranga rates are approximately $1000 per year less than in the WBOP! Our Association exists to lobby Council and Community Boards to freeze rates, reduce debt, and to devolve decision making for local projects to local communities. Annual membership is inexpensive at $20 per family and you will be kept up to date with activities of Council and your Association with a bimonthly email newsletter and public meetings.
