Rotary is an organisation that aims to keep actively involved in projects within their local communities, and others around the globe. Working with a range of projects from humanitarian aid, fundraising, community programmes, services and supporting local events. Henderson Rotary has two different options for people interested in joining. Our main club meets for dinner each Thursday night (6 to 8pm) at Lincoln Green, and enjoys a guest speaker and discusses our projects and fundraising activities. We have a membership of around 50 people in this group. In 2015 we have also added a new Satellite club called Rotalite West which is designed for younger members who are time poor and don't want to spend money on dinner each week. They meet at the Waitakere Cricket Club every second Wednesday (7 - 8:30pm) for drinks and snacks and discuss their community projects and fundraising initiatives.
