North Shore Resource Centre

Community Organisation

North Shore Resource Centre
100 Wairau Road
Wairau Valley
Auckland 0627

The North Shore Resource Centre was established in 1985 after community groups identified a need for a facility in a central location to provide sorting, storage and distribution facilities for factory off-cuts to be recycled as art and craft resources.

Volunteers are always welcome to help staff the Resource Centre. With more volunteers, more resources can be sourced, making this a valuable site for people wishing to dispose of and collect unwanted art, craft and other items.

Currently, the centre is manned by a team of volunteers on Wednesdays from 10am until 4pm and on Saturdays from 10am until 2.00 pm.

People using the North Shore Resource Centre are asked to give a monetary donation for goods taken and the centre is always looking for donations of materials including, wool, small untreated wood off cuts, paper, cardboard, material, cards, beads, feathers or any useful item to keep up stocks.

The centre is available for community groups such as Brownies, Guides, Kindergartens, play centres, schools, home schoolers, etc… to use as a resource base.

Those able to donate goods or volunteer time please contact either Colin Mayers on 021 972609 or by email northshoreresource@gmail.com . Alternatively they can leave details at the centre.

The North Shore Resource Centre is supported by the Auckland Council.
