A Transition Community. We are a non-profit trust who want to make Sandringham more environmentally friendly and sustainable. With support from the Albert-Eden board, we set up and still manage the Sandringham Farmers' Market; we obtained worm-farms for the community centre through an Auckland Council Waste Management grant, we organize replanting and maintenance of fruit tress in Watea reserve and nearby verges, we started the small community garden behind the Art Deco Loos in the reserve. We have lots of other ideas and would love others to become active in making their visions for a sustainable Sandringham come to fruition.
