Ferrymead Heritage Park features an early 1900s (Edwardian) township, with exhibits such as houses, school classroom, church, jail, railway station, lodge hall, post office, printers, tobacconist, general store, lawyer’s office and more. There are also Society displays that are often open for viewing, particularly on Sundays. These displays are owned and operated by individual societies. Their own volunteer workers restore and display their collections, such as tractors, fire engines, aeroplanes, trams, trains, theatrical operations, 2FT rail, model trains, radios, photography and more. The first Sunday of every month is Steam Sunday when the steam train and tram are running. Unlimited rides are provided in the admission price. We also have other events throughout the year, which are listed on our fb page and website. During the term school holidays the tram runs every day and there are drop-in activities for school children from Monday to Friday at no extra cost to admission price. Our Church and Lodge Hall are available for Weddings and other functions. Tram Birthday parties can be booked on Saturdays and Sundays.
