Everyday 60 New Zealanders will hear the words “I am sorry you have cancer”. At the Cancer Society, we know how a cancer diagnosis can affect every aspect of your life and we are here to help you through. We are here to help no matter who you are, where you live, or the issues your facing. We help you with services that are free, confidential and accessible. These services are available for carers, family and friends as well. The Cancer Society Hawkes Bay can help you get to your medical appointments, or provide accommodation if you live far away from hospital. Our specialist support staff can support you through your treatment and answer any questions you have – big or small, and if you just want to talk and share your experience – we are here to listen. No one should face cancer alone… with the Cancer Society, you don’t have to!
