Asthma and Respiratory Foundation NZ (ARFNZ) represents the interests of the 700,000 New Zealanders living with respiratory illness, and is New Zealand’s not-for-profit sector authority on all respiratory conditions, including asthma, bronchiectasis, childhood bronchiolitis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, lung cancer, and sleep apnoea. ARFNZ operates with no government funding, and is solely reliant on grants and donations. ARFNZ’s mission is to reduce respiratory related hospitalisations by 20% by 2025. We aim to achieve this goal through a combination of activities including; improving respiratory best practice, encouraging self-management, improving health literacy, delivering education, and raising the national profile of respiratory awareness in New Zealand.
