Death

Passed away peacefully on March 3, 2021, in his 97th year, at the Kaiapoi Lodge. Devoted and loving husband of Ngaire for 69 years. Loving and respected father and father-in-law of Alan and Christine, Colin and Carolyn. Adored grandfather of Robert, Andrew (deceased), Helen, Louise and Mark, and their respected partners, and loved great-grandad to his 7 great-grandchildren. The family wish to acknowledge and thank the caring staff at the Kaiapoi Lodge. Messages to the Pitman family may be sent to C/- PO Box 35, Rangiora 7440. We will miss Fred’s story telling of his childhood at Rotomanu and his adventures throughout his life. In accordance with Fred’s wishes, a private family service has been held.
