As we approach the anniversary of the mosque shootings in Christchurch, my friends Lesley and Susannah had a dream. What if we could put up a LOVE billboard in our city? The dream grew a little… And what if every electronic billboard around the city, on March 15th, could light up with the word LOVE? What if everywhere people looked they saw what we’ve learned, through earthquakes and shootings, matters most: LOVE. Just LOVE.

Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
