Beggars at Hillmorton shops

Lyn from Hoon Hay

Hi, I'm just wondering if anyone knows if there is any community organisation that looks out for the regulars that sit outside the shops at Hillmorton? In particular the woman, who is in a bad state. She walks/limps around the area but it appears to be getting harder for her. She used to wear shoes but not now. Her body and clothes are filthy and when I saw her close up yesterday, was quite shocked. Both the areas around her eyes were black, like when someone has a black eye but I suspect some medical issue. I think she lives at the flats at the back of the old Hoon Hay WMC but not sure. Anyway just wondering if her and others there, do get any help??

This new 12m-wide pathway will give you a direct, easy route from the street to the river promenade ... perfect for a stroll, a coffee run, or just soaking up the riverside vibes.

We want to know: In your view, what makes a city people-friendly?
