What's your message to Auckland's newly elected councillors?
Hi neighbours, As Phil Goff is elected as Auckland mayor for a second three year term, a North Shore couple have a message for the incoming council and local board: invest in infrastructure over cutting rates. What issues would you like to see the council take action on this term in your community? Please write NFP if you don't want your comment used in stories.
Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
