NZ-shot blockbuster Mulan to premier on streaming service Disney+ tonight
Hi neighbours,
The live action remake of the children’s classic Mulan will premier at 7.30pm on Friday on the streaming service Disney+.
The film was pulled from Disney’s cinema release schedule due to the ongoing impact of the coronavirus pandemic.
Fans will have to pay $39.99 to gain “premium access” to view it, on top of the regular Disney+ subscription of $9.99/month. After several months the film will be available for free for all Disney+ subscribers.
The $440 million blockbuster was mostly filmed in New Zealand, and critics have praised the scenery.
Will you be watching the premier of Disney’s Mulan tonight from home?

Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
