Share a recipe!

The Team from Neighbours Aotearoa

Kia ora Western Bay of Plenty, Neighbours Day Aotearoa 2022 will be encouraging people to connect through kai. This could be sharing a cuppa, fresh produce, a recipe or hosting a picnic or BBQ.

We thought we would kick things off now by encouraging people to share a favourite recipe.

This could be a whānau favourite, your aunty’s special chutney, a secret (or potentially not!) curry dish, or your most-loved cake.

We’ll then share your recipe throughout the land for people to try, share, and enjoy within their communities.

Either email your recipe to kiaora@neighboursday.org.nz or submit it here - www.neighboursday.org.nz...

Any spare easter eggs floating around

Debbie from Papamoa Beach

Hello I’m in abit of a pickle regarding Easter eggs I did a zip option this year as a pickup order for the warehouse it said the eggs were available at my chosen store and would be ready after 6pm the next day but that’s not been the case I waited for 2 days and still wasn’t ready to collect I went last night and the girl there said that what wanted were no longer in there store and they were being sent from another store but couldn’t tell me when it would arrive for collection so I canceled the order thinking I could pick something else on the spot but no it gets refunded back to zip she said so I couldn’t get anything so long story short I’m needing some eggs from the Easter bunny I’m happy to pay back for them just don’t have any money this weekend please message me if you can help out lol thanks

Staying home over the break?

Toka Tū Ake EQC

The long weekend is the perfect time to make your place safer for an earthquake with these steps:

• Find out where you can turn off your water and gas mains
• Check your chimney for any signs of wear and tear, or damage
• Check your home's foundations are secured
• Move heavy items that are up high to safer, lower down locations.
• Secure tall and heavy furniture and appliances

These simple actions can keep your whānau safer in case of a big shake, so tick them off and make the most of your break.
