Car Care Tips at Alert Level 4

Papakura Toyota

With Auckland remaining at Alert Level 4 for at least another week and your car remaining in the driveway, it's important that you keep your car in tip-top shape so it's ready to go when you are.

Our first tip of the week comes as a reminder from Toyota New Zealand's technical engineers about caring for your car’s brakes.

It is advisable to disengage and engage the parking brake once a week to avoid any brakes binding. Brake discs and drums show surface rust as a normal reaction of being unused. Try to avoid using excessive water splash on them during cleaning or storage.
