Glen Eden Town Centre safety improvememts

Communications Team from Auckland Transport

The first phase of the Glen Eden Town Centre safety improvements will get underway on 12 January. There will be no vehicle access from West Coast Road into Glendale Road. Businesses will be open as usual and we will provide alternative, safe, protected routes for pedestrians to use.

The work includes:
• A raised intersection at the intersection of West Coast Road & Janet Clews Place for increased pedestrian safety.
• The intersection of West Coast Road & Glendale Road will also be raised to help slow traffic, with a signalised pedestrian crossing added to each approach.

Thank you for your patience while we undertake this work!
