NCEA tutoring
Hi there,
I know this is a super anxious time for many families, especially regarding their children’s education and particularly success in NCEA.
I’m currently looking for tutoring work and would love to hear from you if you would like to talk about options for tutoring for your child!
A little bit about me:
I graduated from Baradene College last year and I am now at Melbourne University studying a BA majoring in Political Science working towards gaining entry in post-graduate Law. For anyone with children interested in Australian University entry I was accepted with a 99.75 ATAR. (If anyone is interested in Australian University admission please reach out as I know it can be a tricky process to navigate and I’d be happy to have a chat!)
I graduated high school as Proxime Accessit (Second Dux) and completed NCEA with nearly all excellences across the three years.
I was awarded scholarships to Auckland University, Victoria University of Wellington, and Otago University each ranging in value from $20,000 - $35,000.
I studied English, Economics, History, Geography, and Statistics so I am confidently able to tutor in these subjects.
I would also be open to tutoring scholarship subjects for students looking to sit scholarship exams this year. I was awarded an Economics and History scholarship in 2019 and was awarded an English scholarship in both 2018 and 2019, with the 2019 one being an ‘outstanding’ scholarship.
With the current lockdown situation I’d conduct tutoring sessions over zoom and would be happy to have work emailed to me to be looked over - we can really do whatever works best for your child and what they need help in!
I have experience tutoring a range of students, as I undertook paid tutoring last year for a pre-NCEA student and then voluntary tutoring for year 12 students at my school as I completed my final year. Each student improved their marks as the year progressed.
If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to send me a message or you can email me at bella.hosking@gmail.com
I hope everyone is staying safe during this crazy time!
Poll: 🤖 What skills do you think give a CV the ultimate edge in a robot-filled workplace?
The Reserve Bank has shared some pretty blunt advice: there’s no such thing as a “safe” job anymore 🛟😑
Robots are stepping into repetitive roles in factories, plants and warehouses. AI is taking care of the admin tasks that once filled many mid-level office jobs.
We want to know: As the world evolves, what skills do you think give a CV the ultimate edge in a robot-filled workplace?

Poll: Should complete designs be shared with the public, or should the community help shape the designs from the start?
The Post recently shared an opinion piece on the Harbour Crossing and why a more democratic approach might be needed 🚗🚲👟
While most decisions sit within the political arena, many organisations—like NZTA—manage long-term projects that go beyond party lines. Politics can sometimes disrupt progress, and the next Harbour Crossing is a big decision that will affect all Aucklanders.
We’d love your thoughts: Should near-complete, shovel-ready designs be shared with the public, or should the community have a hand in shaping the designs from the start?

18.7% No. This would be impossible in practice.
Lost blue embossed scarf
Hi Everyone. Just on the off chance someone may have spotted my very pretty scarf/ stole, I am trying Neighbourly as a means to find it. It is a light blue colour with gold bumble bees embossed on top . It may have slipped off my shoulders without me realising. My mobile is 021-817-246 and fingers crossed it may turn up. Thank you.
