On December 31, 2020, peacefully in Bupa Harbourview Rest Home, aged 88 years. Loved husband of the late Jeanette Page Swiney (nee Sherriff). Much loved father and father-in-law of Liz & Pete O’Keefe, and Martin & Helen. Papa of Rob & Mel, Ben & Nicola, Jessie & Josh Beyer, Nick & Hermano, James & Regan Taimana, and Caitlin O’Keefe. Great-grandfather to Thomas and Lucy Swiney and Elliott, Isaac and Luka Beyer.
He was a friend to all and a stranger to none.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Wellington Cathedral of Saint Paul’s Choir and may be left at the service. A funeral for Brian will be held in the Wellington Cathedral of Saint Paul’s, 2 Hill Street, Wellington, on Friday, January 29, 2021, at 1.00pm, followed by interment at Karori Cemetery.
